Privacy
How davidgolverdingen.nl handles data. This is a personal site that sells nothing and collects as little as it can.
Last updated: September 2026.
Who runs this site
This is the personal website of David Golverdingen, based in the Netherlands. It exists to publish writing and talks on AI and Model Context Protocol architecture, and to let people get in touch about speaking or advisory work. It is not a product and has no user accounts.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, which pages are read and how people arrive. Analytics only runs on the canonical production host, and only after consent. Preview builds, local development and opted-out visitors are never measured. GA4 sets its own cookies and processes data such as approximate location (derived from IP, which Google truncates), device and browser type, referring page, and the pages you view. It is used to improve the content, never to identify you personally.
The contact form
If you use the form on the Connect page, the name, email address and message you submit are stored so that David can reply. That information is used only to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with third parties or used for marketing.
Cookies and local storage
Beyond the GA4 cookies described above, the site keeps two small values in your browser's local storage: your preferred language, so the site opens in the language you last chose, and, if you opt out, a flag that disables analytics on this device. Neither value is sent anywhere; both stay in your browser.
Opting out
You can decline analytics through the consent choice, and browsers set to send a Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control signal are respected. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes the stored language preference and opt-out flag.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google) and uses Firebase and Google Analytics as described above. Some pages embed publicly available speaking data from Sessionize. These providers process data under their own privacy terms.
Your rights and contact
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data (from the contact form) is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. To do so, or for any privacy question, reach out via the Connect page.
